At Maple Ridge Stables, we do boarding differently. We only accept three boarders at a time. That makes our program truly one of a kind: private, convenient, and personalized. Because of this, our spots are almost always full, and our rates reflect the premium experience we provide.

Our Boarding Philosophy
Many barns operate on filling many stalls. At Maple Ridge, we protect our time and facilities by keeping boarding extremely limited. That exclusivity is what makes our facility special.
While our facilities are comparable to many other barns in the area, our higher rates reflect what you’re really paying for:
- Convenience – the closest barn to the city’s east side.
- Privacy – a completely private arena with no lesson schedules or crowded rings.
- Peace of mind – knowing your horse receives individualized attention in a quiet environment.
In other words, we don’t rely on boarders to fill our barn, we carefully select and choose our boarders to maintain the quality of life for both our horses and yours.
What We Offer
Indoor Board
Our indoor board includes a spacious 12′ x 12′ stall with daily turnout, either individually or in a group setting, depending on your horse’s needs. Horses enjoy free-choice grass hay, with alfalfa flakes provided indoors in a hay net. Each stall is well-bedded for comfort and equipped with automatic waterers. Boarders also have access to our private arena, ensuring a safe and convenient space to ride and train year-round.
Outdoor Board
Our outdoor living board provides horses with year-round turnout in a safe and comfortable environment, with access to shelter, free-choice hay, and automatic water. In cases of extreme weather, horses are brought into stalls for protection. Boarders enjoy full access to our arena and facilities, with turnout offered either in individual paddocks or in small, carefully selected groups of no more than three horses for safety. All groupings are matched by temperament and compatibility. For mares, there is also the option of turnout with our broodmare band on a larger grass pasture, offering a natural and social environment.
Is our barn the right fit?
Maple Ridge is a unique, boarding environment, perfect for horse owners who value privacy, convenience, and individualized care. With that in mind, we may not be the best fit for every rider.
We are not the right barn for:
– For riders who board primarily for the social atmosphere or a large group of barn friends
– For those who need regular, structured lessons included in their board (we do have a dressage coach who visits occasionally, but lessons are not our focus.)
– For riders who are heavily into jumping — we only have a few small crossrails and poles, but no full course setup
– For boarders who require a heated arena — our arena has excellent footing and is private, but not heated
– Our setup is best suited to riders who value quiet, quality care and flexibility over a bustling, lesson-driven environment.
